Can Regulation Improve Industry Standards?
Hello Protectors,
This week we are directing our focus to the current state of regulation. Does the EP industry need more regulation or less regulation? In addressing this, we're going to be looking at licensing, how it’s been implemented in the UK by the SIA, what the USA can learn from across the pond, and whether it's working and where further improvements are required.
To kick us off, we have esteemed industry expert Richard Aitch to give us his take on the matter. Meanwhile in the U.S., the winds of change are shifting and if you would like to get in on the act you can apply to join the Board of Executive Protection Professionals (BEPP) which has begun the process of creating an official industry standard for personal protection.
Check out these and all the other lively conversations going on in the industry in our Connect (UK) & Protector (USA) apps!
Enjoy!

The consensus is that the regulation that's in place, doesn't raise standards to the level at which most professionals in the industry would like them to be.
